Hello from North Carolina

Postby Gumby » Mon Feb 04, 2013 9:47 pm

I am a newby to Farmall Cubs. I just got my first one today. I got a 1952 Cub and it came with a 59" woods deck, belly bush mower, and sickle mower. I will be seeking a set of cultivators, plow and a disc. I plan to work about a one acre garden with it.

Welcome to the forum. I think you will enjoy working that one acre with your Cub. Sounds like a perfect fit. If you also put a post in the wanted forum for the implements you need somebody will come along with help finding them.

Howdy Neighbor! You have several forum members very near you. BTW, what kind of drawbar so we will know what works on your tractor.

Actually I noticed I am going to need the chain lift for the rear of mine also. I have the drawbar that has to be spun around and the plow hooks up to the draw bar and then has to be lifted by a chain. I don't have the piece that lifts the chain though.

That would be the rear rock shaft. Do you have any pix of the Cub? We can help you determine what all you will need if we saw what you have.

I don't think you are hurting a thing. You are introducing yourself, telling us about your Cub and seeking advice. That's what it's all about. Looks good to me.
