How do I determine the year of my Cub?

Postby fayefrost » Tue Feb 05, 2013 7:43 pm

I have inherited a cool little Cub, but I have no idea how old it is. I remember having my picture taken with it when I was 17....I am 56 now. Are there any model or serial numbers on the tractor to determine when it was produced?

It it is an "Original" (first model) it will be stamped on the side of the reduction gear housing.

Post a picture and I am sure we can help you figure it out!

Great info, thank you both! I don't have the tractor at home yet, have to transport from Tennessee to Illinois, but as soon as I do and get her (him?) cleaned up a little, I will post a pic. I will also try to find the old pic I mentioned, just for fun.
