Harley and friends

Postby Barnyard » Sun Feb 17, 2013 3:33 pm

Harley found a couple of new friends while in Georgia going to and coming from DSCF so he invited them home to look around the barnyard. One is a partially disassembled 1952 and the other is a four digit serial # 1947. Both have bad engines. Every casting on the 47 had been somewhat apart at one time but someone, years ago, welded them all back together.

Didn't your mother tell you not to pick up hitch hickers???
Like the seat on the one in front. The one in back has dual tires or just tires strapped to the side?
You must have turned some heads on the trip home for sure. :)

Nice load Bill....Gave the trailer a good test.
Convenient being able to load a Cub cross-wise.

There is always room for blue cooler. Glad to see you got home safely. I will be leaving tomorrow but still not sure where i am going. I washed clothes today so that means two more weeks if i want to stay out.

Pete, I'm guessing there was a bit more weight to it. There was some heavy iron on there too. One tire was loaded, two Cubs had weights, and extra pair of weights, a 140 fast hitch, a one point Bushhog rear grader blade, a loaded tool box...and on and on. Good thing the trailer has two 7,000 axles under it. :D

Chris, your rear blade is buried on there somewhere and the tires are strapped on due to lack of floor space :D

Dave, I originally wanted to add the wider sides sometime ago for my Jeep swap meets but I kept putting it off. I had a feeling I was going to need it so I finally bit the bullet and gotter done. :{_}:

Russ

Yeah, we usually keep a small cooler full of pop, water and snacks in the cab of the truck, but guess where my favorite cheese sticks were on the way home. :(

When we left for DSCF this is what the load looked like:

Rosie had a feeling this would change.

Bill,
Do I remember seeing that cub up front being suspended in the air? Just wondering!

Roy, I don't believe you saw anything of the kind. If I remember correctly, the loader bucket was blocking your vision and you were working from hand signals. Image
