"Sticky" means the post will stay at the top of the page and any new threads will start below it. "Locked" means the thread can be read but no one can post to it.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

My computer is doing the same thing. What he means is where it says sticky it is highlighted in blue.

Yes, that is now how it is shown, instead of just the little icon that is in front of the topic.

Mine started doing that a few days ago, just after a Firefox update. Not sure if that is why I am seeing it or not.

I saw that update a number of days ago .... forget how many now, kinda getting used to it. Thought Opera was having rendering problems, but Safari, Chrome, IE all show the same blue boxes. I think it was an upgrade Dennis did to the forum software. One day it was the old style, next day it was them blue boxes. Was a little difficult to get used to, but slowly getting there.

How do you make an item "sticky" so it stays up longer?

It can only be done by a moderator for posts that require it. A premium classified advertiser can also do it in the for sale forum.
