Some of the Cub stuff that has followed me home

Postby Former Member » Wed Feb 27, 2013 4:45 pm

It has been a while since I posted pics of some of my finds that have followed me home. I need to get the # info off them and get it into the database.

Most recently, Val (Coppersmith) set me up with this one from down South, and I picked it up at DSCF. It has some bolt holes that need some work, and a new radiator before I try to start it. Val had it running and drove it around before he brought it to me, so I know it will. It has the welded up spindles on an adjustable axle, but has the non adjustable tie rods. I think it will be a good solid worker some day

This wide cub is one I traded for a while back. It belonged to a friend who did not want help with it, but in the end got frustrated, and when he saw a nice '67 I had, decided to cut his losses. A couple hours of fixin and adjusting and it is a super strong, fine running cub. I mounted a nice Woods 42 to it and it mows good and pulls strong. It is replacing Jans Pretty cub for the work around here.

There are a few others hanging around that have volunteered as donors too.

Then there is my new ride. It is an original Jazzy Power Chair. Perfect for cubfests, tractor shows and auctions etc. A lot of folks saw it at DSCF.

Me too Bob.

I have had plans in my head for years to build one. I have most of the materials for it. When I had the opportunity to get this one, I took it, sort of a model for the one I will build. :big afro:

It will be full suspension, powered by 2 separate XHD wheelchair motors, one on each rear gear-set. One side will be set low, one side high. I am guessing it will hit 30-40mph.

I am just waiting now to get with my welder neighbor to build the framework. :big afro:

Couple nice additions to the herd. That one with the Woods is a keeper :!: Was wondering what happened with Val's Cub, now we know :)

The 184 is not mine. A fellow lost his place to keep it and it needed a little work. I am not real excited about buying parts for it and spending time on it, all on my dime, cause he ain't got no dimes.

It basically needs a new clutch, new rear main oil seal and just general maintenance.

I've not pulled a motor on one of the # lowboys, and am not real anxious to learn.

If you remember the old anti drug commercial with the eggs, "This is your brain, this is you brain on ****". Too many meds. What i know i know well, but trying to learn new stuff gets me frustrated.

The seat is nice Clint, since the Jazzy does not have any shocks, and the 20" bike tires have no give. The spring shock in it saves what back I have left. :big afro:

I blame that on age, not meds. All the brain cells are full.
