Batteries not included right
Nice looking project Paul, and looks like you got some nice implements with it to boot. Hope it was a good deal.

Re: 1978 Ih Cub Project
I am thinking the implements are worth almost what I gave for the project. If the tractor is what the man said, I should be able to put a battery in and fire it up after I get it back together. At least I hope so. It is a pig in a poke deal, but I tend to take people at their word.

A lot of nice stuff, but are the rear tires on backwards?

Taken in Boss's backyard! Where did you find it? I know of an early cub that needs a new home, but don't know if it can be bought. (Basket case)

It was up on blocks and we got the tires on backwards just trying to get it on the trailer.

Dan, I knew about the cub, Paul and I had talked about it. I am not into buying something out from under someone else. Just not the way I was brought up.
I guess I am old school, I wish there were more old school folks around. And I will say again I dont buy NC tractors I also bought a red and white cub from Paul But it did not come from NC originally

Re: 1978 Ih Cub Project
Very nice haul. I'm looking at implement value around $1500 or more! The rear blade with the shanks on it is just a farm modified 54 front mount blade. Maybe you have the rest of it in the pile and can turn it back into maybe a 54A blade setup. Looks like a sweet package to me!

Hey I recognize that tractor, they sold them to farmers that had lost their butt and did not know which way to turn [ no seat and steering wheel ]

From the looks of the rear wheels they were going backward anyways.

Re: 1978 Ih Cub Project
Dad had a cub with a fixed blade mounted in the front cultivator brackets. It was a home made idea, and worked very well. Good looking project.
Ad Boss, I like those old values, wish we had more left.

Re: 1978 Ih Cub Project
I have used a home made rig on the universal tool bar. Worked good for working driveway. Also. Have pix of one mounted to rear tool bars. Looks like it would work good too. Down side, no angle adjustment.
