Silver Seat CushionsSo, I'm close to finishing my winter repair work on the 59 Loboy and am thinking about replacing the seat. I bought a black seat last year from the guy in Wauseon OH for a different machine & was pleased with it. My real question here - what years were the silver factory colors? I see in my parts manual it says no longer available but can't see when that occurred. I think it would look nice with the red piping but like to stay with original look. Can anyone give me some advice? Thanks

Re: Silver Seat CushionsSteve, I found a good firm strong silver canvas for redoing the seat. Found it at Sailrite.com. I thnk it is UV and rain resistant--kind of like Sunbrella but a different manufacturer. Ask Matt at Sailrite to lead you to it. They will send out samples for you to consider--just a buck or two or so. Used this canvas here, have it on the tractor and like it. Too bad I wasn't a better worker on making it wrinkle free. But my behind ain't complaining. The step-by-step instructions here on the forum are good. I had to add the brass grommet per my design, and that worked out okay.
Re: Silver Seat CushionsI guess we will learn what really was original. Pretty sure it was the silver duck .. but this latest find will probably prove it:
Rare International Harvester Farmall Cub 1948? Upholstered Seat Instructions Lately I have been finding manuals for things one would not believe needed a manual, but .... they are there. Going for good prices though and this is the first one I was able to snag. Confusion breeds Discussion which breeds Knowledge which breeds Confidence which breeds Friendship
