wood burner painting

Postby jakeesspoo » Mon Sep 12, 2005 8:04 pm

I just bought a used wood burner for my living room its in good shape but has a little rust. I wanted to sand it down and repaint it but I didnt know what type of high temp paint to use. Has anyone painted there woodburner before? and if so how did it turn out? Thanks , Jake

You can buy stove paint at most any wood stove store. I think I bought mine at Wal-Mart. I cleaned my wood burner stove with a wire wheel and painted it and it came out like new. The first time you use it it will have an odor till the paint burns in.
Then came Bronson
