Bill,

I have had mine for years. Until I started with the Cubs and their planters that was what I planted my entire garden with. It does a very good job. About the only thing I use it for now is to plant turnips, mustard, rutabagas, cucumbers, watermelons, and squash.....Well I guess I do still use it quite a bit. I do use it for certain things every year.

The only con is my fat butt having to push it!

Bill, I have one I bought several years ago from AGRI-SUPPLY. The biggest drawback I've found is that the ground must be fitted finer than my Dearborn disc left it to cover good. Last year I used the Cub and 23-A and didn't have any problem, but I wish the planter had bigger wheels so it would push easier, but it sure beats bending over dropping seed by hand. John

John I appreciate your input. I plan on putting a piece of pipe behind my disc to help level the ground before using the planter. We are all tired of planting those small seeds by hand as well.
Thanks Bill

We had a couple that we let grow just to see what they would actually do and they can get big!!!---how much did your big one weigh??---they are all weight and at that size it gotta be heavy!

I have flour fine dirt after 1 pass with the ole KK tiller, so I figure it should be ok,--UNLESS the ground is too fine!--in that case might have to run the field cultivator on the cub over it to firm it up a bit to keep planter from sinking in too far and sliding instead of turning! ---more testing!!!--LOL!! thanks; sonny

Sonny,

We did not weigh it. It barely fit inside a 5 gallon bucket.

Have fun!
