It sure doesn't look like our Cub PLanter. That being said the mounting brackets seem to indicate Farmall to this untrained eye.
Take a look through this link to see if it can be identified (or I'm sure one of the forums resident experts) will call it name it soon.

that is a combination hopper and 100 fertilizer I believe but the drive units are for something bigger than a cub

I don't think the mounting frames look quite right for a Super A either. My best guess is they are for a C, Super C etc. That also would mean they are only 1 side of a 2 row unit. I would view it as a pile of spare parts. However, they are good parts. I believe the combination seed hopper together with the base that is with it will fit a lot of different planters. There is always a shortage of fertilizer hoppers if not badly rusted.

He finally returned my call yesterday and confirmed it. The parts came with a super C he bought to set up as a pull tractor.
