What the heck are these????

Postby vwfish » Sun Apr 07, 2013 7:23 pm

Hi All,

New cub owner here again.

So it's almost spring-like around here and it's time to remove the plow and attach the mower.
First question:
How does that belt go on?!

Question 2:
What are the attached, what do they do and how do I use them?

Thanks!

#1 is the Touch Control Front Rockshaft - looks like the Boomerang is attached.
#2 is the TC Rockshaft Rod - connects from the Touch Control front rockshaft to the rear rockshaft
#3 is the mounting brackets for the IH Danco C-2 Mower I think
#4 .. not sure

And the boomerang on that rockshaft will not work on a TC rockshaft if I'm not mistaken.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I noticed in the illustration, the use of a straight rockshaft rod, yet the drawing shows a long ear dash.
Is the requirement for an off set rod unnecessary when using a manual lift?

Jim, You would still use a boomerang regardless of which rockshaft you have, but it is my understanding the boomerang on a manual lift rockshaft will not fit a TC rockshaft.

It will bolt on, but the hole where the lift rod attaches does not line up with the one in the rockshat.

I have never tried the straight rod with a handlift, but sighting along the mounts it appears that it would rub sometimes, especially if the hole is in the top hole of the hand lift.
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
