Found a good deal for a brand new set of tires ....Cambridge 8.3 X 24 8 ply. Bought them for $250 on Craigslist. I know I could have got tires cheaper from Tire Town or maybe even Tucker Tire but the delivery charge would have made it way more expensive. I know that these tires aren't american made but I don't have $500 or $600 to spend on tires. These will do me for a very long time.
This is what they look like:
So one more thing off my list for the 4th of July......

Those tires look mighty good to me. I would prefer American made, too, but the prices are far out of my league at this time! Steve K.

Congrats on the new shoes. I'm sure your baby will appreciate the new set of wheels. From I've learned so far - it's always a balancing act between the wallet and the country of manufacturer. More important your happy and proud with your purchase.
Have a great day, Ken

Re: New tires for the Captain
I just bought a new set of front tires and tubes. 63.86 mounted, and yes they they are imports but i did not look at the name. If they last at least 3 years i will be happy.

Re: New tires for the Captain
I've bought a couple sets of front tires from Tucker Tire and had them delivered to my door. Originally I wanted the repo Firestone fronts but after talking to Miller Tire regarding the price, their manufacture in Mexico and at the time it didn't really mater because they were unavailable for an undetermined time steered me to Tucker Tire and I have no regrets.
