Why are these different?

Postby jlmason81 » Sun May 05, 2013 4:11 pm

I have been wondering why these lift rods/springs for my cultivators are different. Are they even for a cub? I have never seen another set like them. The lift bracket for the rear tool bar is mounted upside down and the 90 degree bend goes into the hole and is secured with a cotter pin. Please help identify what I have here... Thanks.

Tim,

These tool bars came off one of my cubs. I did notice the different mainly when Boss listed his for sale. However, I have never seen these lift rods. Have you or boss ever had a set? Thanks for the help.

What's strange is that they within 1/2" length as the traditional cub. These are 22-1/2" and do not seem to ever been tampered with based on my observation. My standard ones are 22".

I was afraid you'd say that. That was the way I read it and I had already struck out with that number.

Unfortunately that is the only number on any of the parts. I sure hope between the members on this forum we can figure if they are truly for a cub.
