When the clutch is reinstalled onto the flywheel is there a specific tension of the springs, or is the tension simply set when the clutch and flywheel are tight together?
I will need to reinstall the fingers onto the clutch plate. Can I just hold the pieces together with C-clamps (compressing the springs) when I put the pivot pin for the fingers back in, or is the tension more precise?
I hope my question is clear.
Todd

Re: clutch spring tension
If it's only the finger spring you may not need any devices to compress the spring.
Never had a pressure plate apart, so don't really know the answer. Suggest looking at the service manual.
Pressure plate springs are tested be for installation in to the pressure plate.

I have an excuse. CRS.
