My SUper A

Postby MississippiSlim » Thu Jun 13, 2013 11:02 am

Well, I found a Super A last month. Ended up driving a 1 hr from home to find a 2 owner machine with cultivators, sweeps, hillers, planter, fertilizer, 3pt hitch modification, a small disc harrow and a middle buster. The previous owner said he had put a spring and fall garden in with it for the past 25 years but was getting too old for a big garden so he had no use for it. Said it had engine rebuilt by first owner just before he bought it. Got a few leaks arond gaskets, about 12 to one oclock slack in steering, no play in left rear wheel. Starts right up, little bit of smoke under initial acceleration, hydraulics very smooth. I think I am in love! :) I put in about 2 acres of corn, peas, beans, other various vegetables the day after I got it. Layed by and sidedressed last week. Now I am hoping to find a bunch of implements for it although my wife said I need to be happy with what I got for now! LOL!

My wife says the same thing. I think that wives dont have the same engineering (packrat) gene as us men. But that Super A is gorgeous.
