I think it should stay. At one time I really enjoyed the chat room and really got a lot of good info because you could ask questions and get answers right then rather than have to wait till some knowledgable member read your post and replied. I have spent many enjoyable evenings chatting with Mr. Puckett, Big Dog, and others but lately the whole tone has changed but I think we should try to recapture some of the old camaraderie we used to enjoy on this forum before it went astray.

The votes against keeping it may be a bit deceiving if many of the voters view the latest chat as Billy Ray does. Perhaps if the tone changed the voters against the chat may see it differently and look at it in a more positive light. What harm would it do if it were given a short trial run and see what comes of it. If it stays as it was then pull the plug.

There is some good feedback, so I went back and enabled it so that if you feel compelled you can change your vote one way or the other.

Enjoyed when I had a chance to participate. Timing wasn't good for me. Some conversations need to be on private chat or not said at all. Of course inappropriate talk should not be on any part of the forum.

Thank you all.

I think there is enough interest to bring the chat room back online for another run. I would suggest that those interested setup an approximate time and day when the majority can meet for an hour or so -- it is no fun to sit in an empty chat room -- although I've been known to talk to myself on occasion (that's what my wife tells me.)

However, if I do not see any usage, I will consider it deadwood and a potential security risk to the site and will have no choice but to remove it permanently -- (ominous music playing in the background.)

So I hope you enjoy it, I know many others have in the past.

Thanks,
Dennis

My choice would be from 7pm CST to 10pmCST. I realize others might have different times preferences and am flexible on the time period set.

What do you mean by two hours? From what I read it is coming back just the way it was without any changes. I think Dennis is suggesting that we use it at least for an hour or so. Shoot, I might even consider coming back.
