Coming back to life !!! Video added
For over forty years, she stood outside the Funhouse at a large amusement park in Dartmouth. Massachusetts, named Lincoln Park. She'd rock forward and backward, always laughing through the magic of a phonograph player that played the same scratchy record over and over. The rides stopped in the 1980's, and "Laughing Sal" found herself dusty, rusty, and life-less.
I found the frame and mechanism in a warehouse in New Bedford, and put it on my "to-do" list to bring her back. Well, she didn't come back as a woman, but...
Some people believe that after death we come back as another being. Next week she makes her first public appearance as a cow, at the Westport Fair.

San Francisco has a Laughing Sal...really annoying laugh after a while, though. So what will the cow say?!

Bob, I had wondered why you have been away from the forum for awhile. This explains everything, it is so...ummm...let's see...what is a good word here? Oh yeah...You...it is so you to do something like this.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I know that's the Sal from San Francisco that lives on, on the Internet, but the one we had didn't look like that. From my memory, and from the framework, ours was, let's see, we have to be PC, we'll say "not that thin".

I think they have re-recorded the laugh track, because it doesn't sounds as harsh and obnoxious as I remember!!
BTW, if anyone is ever in San Francisco, try to visit that little museum. They have spectacular mechanical machines there. Mostly large music boxes and such, with so many instruments...fantastic for the mechanically inclined!!! I loved to watch all the mechanisms! Talk about "Rube Goldberg" heaven!!

I like the improvement. Hard to believe a hat can make such a difference! Ed
