I think I have a Cub 22 Sickle

Postby 169Cub » Fri Jul 19, 2013 9:06 am

Here is another one of my newbee posts. I looked in the manual section and found the manual for the Cub 22 Sickle. I already downloaded it and I believe this is what I have when I look at the pictures in the manual and compare them to what I have. Can you please confirm that I am correct on this identification?

Yes, it is a Cub 22 mower. Another way to identify items is to find parts numbers on the item and compare those to the parts catalog.

The teeth are throwing me off....They look like they protrude farther than the 22.....Could be the angle of the picture or ?????....Anyhow it will be interesting to see what others think as your post moves along....The bar looks short to me also....Maybe I'm not looking at it the right way ????? Guess I'm to use to seeing mine.....Dave

It actually is pretty long. It is currently buried in my shed under Cub Cadets and some saw horses... I am thinking about digging it out and installing it for some really high grass in a very wet part of our lawn.

The cutting bars for a Cub 22 were either 4 1/2 ft or 5 ft long. If your's is longer than that, it may have been modified.
