Battery box lid rubber bumpers/spacers, source?

Postby Criswell » Sat Jul 20, 2013 9:24 pm

Just wondering if anyone may have a source or recomendation as to where to get some new spacers/bumpers for the battery box lid. I have found a couple of different places that are offering these spacers/bumpers for sale (both long and short) and was just wondering if anyone may have had any luck with them.

If you attend a show where OEM tractorparts has their big trailer, they always had the cages and bumpers for sale as extras. I looked at their website and didn't see those items listed anymore(they used to be).

Just curious, are you looking for functionality, or exact factory replacement? I made a new lid for my box, and I lined mine with thick rubber.

Steiner has short and tall ones. I haven't seen them, so I can't comment on quality.

I had not seen them on their website or in their catalog, but I did find them, thanks. I will be driving by there next week so I will stop in and pick some up (along with a free pen and LED flashlight keychain :{_}: ). I will post some photos of the "bushings" when I get them and I will pass along how they actually fit.

Definitely not original, but I use an old truck inner tube cut into sheets to cover the top of the battery. Also use a layer under the bottom.
