Dearborn plow bottoms

Postby John *.?-!.* cub owner » Tue Jul 30, 2013 10:12 pm

A friend just acquired a 3pt 2 bottom Dearborn plow that he needs bottoms for. The bottoms were missing when he got it, but it appears to be 12 inch bottoms, possibly disposable ones. does anyone know what info he needs to find the right numbers and where to get them? Thanks.

12" are hard to find. I used 14" and trimmed them with a torch on my Ford 101.
Shoup has the 14", the bolt pattern is the same, on Ford. I would check before I bought on Dearborn.
Best,
Mike

I have looked for them more then one time and never had any luck. Everyone i ever talked to said no longer available. I did have one guy tell me that the bottoms from Leinbach Machinery were the same but i never looked into it. Good luck and i would like to know if you find any. I ended up selling the plow and buying something newer.

Boss... They have three holes

I guess I should have done some checking before I posted. A few years ago I had to replace a broken point on a 2-14 and I went to a Ford dealer to see if one was available. You had to buy the whole share just for the point and they wanted $65.00. The Ford dealer said they had them in stock and the 2-10 through 2-14 were the same. I did some checking at the time through the Web and found wiesecorp.com and agrisupply.com had them. Because of the cost I bought a point and welded in place.

To my understanding later on Ford replaced the name Dearborn with Ford….I guess the Ford plow is redesigned?
