Hi All,
I was driving my cub a few weeks back when it lost all power and just quit. I've had intermittent issues with sediment getting into the carb so I figured that was the case. after applying the usual fixes this problem persisted. As I investigated alternative issues it became apparent I wasn't getting any spark from the Mag. After removing it and fiddling with it for a while I found that water had gotten inside, quite a bit of water. I got it dried out, reassembled, and back up and running but the question still remains; how to keep the problem from reoccurring. Has anyone else had this problem, and if so, any fixes that don't involve siliconing the coil cap to the body of the magneto?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Magneto issues
Yup, been there done that ... as for fixes I applied Hi-Tack to both faces of the coil cap gasket. As far as the plug cap gasket - I haven't figured that out although I am thinking that I will cut a gasket from some of that thin rubber gasket material. Hopefully the cap will still engage the clips properly. That is the only thing I can see.
