Re: Fast Hitch
Yes, it will fit. Here are three possibilities.

Re: Fast Hitch
There were 2 styles for the Farmalls. The early had a lever type depth control and the later had a screw type. A '58 would have had the screw type from the factory but either fit. There was a third style, screw type, for the Lo-Boys. It will not fit a Farmall.

Re: Fast Hitch
I would want to make sure the fast hitch is complete. Missing helper springs and the depth control levers on the earlier hitch seem to be common issues. I recently bought a complete fast hitch on Craigslist for $300. After pricing them for quite a while this seemed to be an excellent deal. I prefer the lever type depth control because it allows quick changes. I have seen 1957 Cubs with the lever, but sometime in 1957 the lever depth control was apparently replaced by the crank type adjuster.

Re: Fast Hitch
I am a huge fan of the fast hitch! Implements are a bit harder to find, but it is sure nice to be able to drop a plow and pick up a disk in a matter of minutes.... including the time to move the 'stinger' (pull bar).
Right now I am in the middle of installing a sandblasted and painted one on my 77 Cub. Even though I took it apart (2 years now ) and am very careful, there is an amazing array of parts to them and easy to misplace some along the way. When you go shopping you really need to make sure that all the parts are there. Very often the helper spring is left on the donor tractor as it is not obviously part of the fast hitch. There is also huge and incompatible differences with one for a Lo Boy. Recently a guy had one on eBay and refused to change the listing to indicate Lo Boy after I told him.
It is listed in the Cub parts manual and the pages around this one may be helpful:
