Gaylott Scoop = lazy husband
This afternoon I needed to move 2 bags of layer mash from my van in the drive about 150' to the barn, so I fired up the Cub, put the bags in the scoop and drove them there. I had just backed up to the barn door when my lovely bride came out to see what I was doing. She took 1 look, grinned and said "that scoop is making you lazy". Maybe shes right, because after I dumped the feed into a barrel in the barn, I put a 5 gallon pail of mash in the scoop, set a grain scoop of scratch feed in it, climbed on and drove about 50' to the hen house. It works great for hauling pails of water from the house for the chickens too. Maybe shes right (as usual). John

John, that's not lazy, that is called getting maximum seat time.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

At work they used to say if you wanted to know the easiest way to do something, have me do it, I would figure out the easiest way. wonder if that goes with the name of John?

I have always stuck by the old saying "work smarter not harder",seems as though that is what you are doing,it just so happens that you get extra seat time because you are working smarter.Seems like a win win to me.

Re: Gaylott Scoop = lazy husband
Gotta enjoy that extra seat time. It seams to me that you could make a wooden insert for the scoop and have a custom platform carrier. You wouldn't have to reach down as low either; I betcha John would have thought of that too.
