Cub tie rod problem

Yes both tierods are exactly the same length!---I made sure of that,--thinking maybe there was a different length for some unknown reason!lol!! wheels wont clear without longer bolts and a spacer about a half to three quarters of inch thick!---plus that would weaken the hub threads when hitting holes/bumps/etc in the garden!---keep thinkin' and post your ideas! LOL!!--- I have run out of ideas on this one, short of cutting the tierods and welding them back together then use the threads to make the fine adjustment! thanks; sonny

Temp fix, set out axle on one side one hole then see if you can set toe in.

Go to another Cub that is known to be correct and is set to the same axle width. Set the wheels straight ahead and measure from the front tip of the axle pivot pin to the outer end of each tie rod (should be the same). Then do the same measurement on each side of this tractor with each individual wheel pointing straight ahead. The difference between the 2 tractors should tell you which steering arm is bent and how much.

Turning tires will have no effect on toe in. Angle will remain the same. Extending axle a hole will again have no effect if the tie rods are correct as Sonny believes. If the spindles and knuckles are correct and tight then the only possibilities I see are tie rods are wrong length or an axle has been shortened. Check to make sure a hole in the inner axle has not been moved. I'm with Jim, compare to a cub that is correct

I agree with John, the right steering arm looks to be bent about 1 1/2 inch tords the center of the tractor. If you have a good torch heat it up red hot . then bend it to look like the left steering arm. with those wide tires you will need to adjust the toe on the tie rods to where each wheel is toes in 1/16 inch to give you a total toes of 1/8 inch

its the arm in the right side of the picture that is bent. Left side of the tractor

After super close look, --the arms dont look quite the same!---that gotta be my problem!! ----will heat/bend at least that 1 back out if I can and see how it goes!--- thanks for your help in spotting that !!! thanks; sonny
