Different Discharge Nozzles

I have three discharge nozzles here that you are looking at. The arrows are pointing at the holes on each one. The one on the right came off a 47. No hole in the end. The other two I have know idea what year. The parts book does show different numbers but states they will all work. Just sharing what I have found.
I don't know my right from my left. sorry

They need to match the high speed jet. There are several different jet openings, too. Bob McCarty has the measurements, of the openings.

Now that sounds interesting! Been cleaning two carburetors with parts of a third carburetors. I know the jet that came with the 47 is shot. So I will have a 50-50 chance when I put them back together they match.

This is information that Bob McCarty posted earlier. I'm sure that he will be along shortly to interpret it.

Discharge 52 39 39 39

Edit: Boy, the information sure didn't look like it does on the post, when I previewed it.  Bob has the good stuff.

That data is all from the GSS-1411 manual with the specs for a later carb added. The aftermarket kits don't have the correct size jets, and I'm sure a lot of parts get mixed up. To be absolutely correct, I think you'd need to measure the size of the bleed and then match the discharge nozzle and main jet to it. I'm not sure that on an older/used Cub that it makes that much difference.

The discharge tube with no hole in the end goes with the main jet that looks like it has a huge hole in the end. It won't work with any of the other main jets.
