1800's Screw Jack

Got a project that you are working on that is not a tractor? Maybe a barn to hold your tractors or just fun stuff like woodworking, glass, tools, sheds, gardens, custom implements, etc., this is the place to talk about it.

1800's Screw Jack

Postby PVF1799 » Tue Oct 08, 2013 7:23 am

This turned up in the Magic Barn - It was all rusted and would not turn. A bit of Kroil, a tour through the blast cabinet and of course primer and IH Iron Guard Red Paint. This'll be going back up to the farm to be used as part of the Dutch Barn Restoration Project. As it sits it's about 14 inches tall, weighing about 25 pounds....

If you are not part of the solution,

Yes - this would have been a railroad jack. I've located some others on the property as well, even bigger with teeth. It's a bigger man than me to even move it from one place to another.

You have got to stay out of that barn for a while. All that magic is causing you a lot of work.
