hi everyone im a newbie too site. I AM assembling cub engine after maching the block and head. I need too know if there is lock washers on cam retainer plate and the idler gear bolt. I did not disassembly the engine,received block headand bag of bolts any help would be great thanks.

dealers parts exploded view will show location and number of all parts/nuts/bolts/etc. thanks; sonny

Additionally, while assembling the engine, make sure that the allen plug is in the block behind the front cam gear. Machine shops remove those to boil out the block and often forget to put them back in. If this plug is out, you will NOT get oil pressure on the tractor, and you will have to take it back apart to get to it. Now is the time to make sure that it is in.

The guys have you covered on finding the information in manuals for assembly...
