greetings all. i'm pete and i just got home with my "new" cub.
she's a 48 w/ hydraulic lift. restored back in 95 by my father in law.
began life in the 40's at a farm in colchester ct, then bought by my father in law in the early 90's. (i'm the 3rd owner)
they moved to virginia 9 years ago and he took her with him.
shirley, as she is known, is now back in ct at our home in new milford.
she'll have an easy life here, just minor snow plowing and minor mowing with a sickle bar.

i've lurked around here for quite some time and figured now that the old girl is home i should introduce myself.
i've also got a soft spot for wheel horse's and old vw's. current work horse is an 84 wheel horse 416-8.

we sure did use up every inch of a tractor supply trailer to get her home!

Nice looking Cub, Welcome to the forum!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Welcome to the forum! Your Cub (Shirley) sure fills up that trailer. Hope you have cause for some snow removal this winter; that's fun!

i know she'll get plenty of snow duty. we're going to clean up the perimeter of the yard this weekend with the sickelbar, then it comes off and the blade goes on.

i'm gonna need a little "hay wagon" to tote the kiddies around.

Welcome to the forum, and to Cub ownership as well! New Milford is home to Lou and Steve Tencza(sp?) also--serious IH collectors and members of IHCC Chapter 18,perhaps you know them already.

i'll have to look them up. there's also a good wheel horse contingent in new milford too.

we had our first opportunity to "work" our new cub this weekend. what a joy! i though my wheel horses were smooth, but this cub is like a cadillac.

we used the sickel bar to clean up some of the long overgrown sections of the property and it didn't dissappoint. what a tractor! i'm tickled for sure.

pick of the wife and boy riding our new pride and joy!
