Brought Home this Little Guy Today

Postby tst » Sat Nov 23, 2013 5:26 pm

Picked up this 61 loboy, it belonged to a friend I worked with 40 years ago, he bought it new, its all factory except for the front weights and the rear spotlight, came with a fast hitch, drawbar, Mott belly mower, 194 plow, a L54 snow plow, all the implements still have decals on them, have got to get it running yet, its been 8 years or so they think since it last ran, always kept inside

Nice find. Maybe you'll have it going in time so you are ready when the snow comes!

Nice!

Any idea what they did with the drawbar when not using the Mott?? Seems you could not use the plow or other implements without removing it.

Hi Larry, I have same setup on another loboy, the mott gives you brackets that replace the fast hitch lower final drive brackets so now you can retain the draw bar and use both, if the drawbar is an issue it just bolts on at the brackets like a regular drawbar does so its out of the way in just a minute

Could we see more photos of that setup, Tim? Thanks.

I was just curious Don because my Lo Boy came with a belly mount Mott. I sold the mower, but kept the brackets. I had the fast hitch brackets off another Lo Boy that are on it now. It looks like you are pretty limited with a drawbar mounted. This is my 65 Lo Boy when I first got it:

You can see why I think the drawbar is in the way.

They made the brackets so that the belly mt mott can be used with the standard hookups they already had for a non fast hitch loboy, so if you need to use the fast hitch just drop the draw bar bolts and pull the bar off with the mower hook ups and the fast hitch is ready, only takes a minute
