This year I am prepared for winter. The weather forecast says there should be a lot of snow here this season. I am probably going to keep the Cub with the 54A blade in the barn in reserve. The other Cub and the Cadet both have power angle blades. This will be the first winter for the Cub Cadet 1712 (same as IH Cub Cadet 782). The Cub Cadet 124 and the 129 can have the season off and stay in the barn. They have earned a seasonal rest.

Nice fleet. I've been toying with the idea of putting a blade on my CCC 782. You'll have to tell us how you like yours for pushing snow.

Will do. The 1712 (782) has a 54 inch blade, same size as the "big" Cub. We saw this one on CL earlier this year and drove 200+ miles to get it. It also has a 50 inch mower deck. The blade has the power angle feature, plus the Cadet came with wheel weights and chains. I'm waiting for snow.

The tractors were all dressed up with no snow to plow from Thanksgiving to February. I got to move two inches of snow on two occasions, and ten inches yesterday. Finally! The Cub did its usual great job, even with no chains. The Cub Cadet 1712 (same as IH Cub Cadet 782) got its first winter use and passed with flying colors. I can't believe that such a small tractor can push deep snow so well. It had wheel weights and chains on its turf tires. For the most part it was like the snow wasn't there.

When you're ready for it, you scare most of it away. It's the unprepared folks, that get nailed. (Mother Nature, trying to educate.)

If it snow a inch here in Al again, I am going to put my wife hair dryer on my cub and clean the drive way.
