New Member from North Carolina

Postby pwdff142 » Fri Nov 29, 2013 7:32 pm

Hello & Good Evening to Everyone!! My name is Stephen and I'm from Montgomery County, NC. I grew up on a small farm with a 1974 Farmall 140 with a one point hitch. Now I have a 1948 Farmall Cub. I bought it from someone who mistreated it and let it go to pot. I with my son are trying to fix it as we go. As we all know it takes more money to fix it the second time than I does to keep it maintained. It's a work in progress and I intend to burn this site up with questions, and help!!

Thank you,
Stephen

A huge welcome to you and your family from a fellow NC Cubber! There are quite a few of us here who are ready to give you a hand...either over this forum or even literally!!

Also, be sure to check the Cubfest schedule (above link). You can either watch & help with some of the common problems you may face, or bring your tractor to work on a project of your own.

I'm in Chapel Hill, so if you get stuck, give you a holler!! I recommend you take LOTS of photos to document how something came apart so you can figure out how to get it back together! The forum loves progress photos and you will enjoy having a record of working with your son...they grow up (and away) waaaaay too fast!

Note the two links above for just about any manual you might need too! Again, welcome! :big smile:
