battery for a 1975 international cub

I just bought a 1975 cub and it had no battery and i having a hard time finding a battery that will fit. does any one know what group number battery is best for this cub or is there a exact battery out there for this model. of course it is 12 volts.Thanks.

The correct 12 volt battery is Group 26R.

Yes, group 26R, as David said, most any battery supplier have them, as they fit several automotive applications.

Last one I got from WalMart. The trick is to get the terminals on the correct side/end. So look at the terminal ends in the battery box and see if the + should be forward or back and that will tell you which battery to get. Pretty much the cheapest one they have will work fine for you.

Keep in mind also that the "R" in a battery group number indicates it is reversed terminals. So if you have a group 26 battery and need the terminals on the other side it would be a 26R.
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

I picked one up at Sears for my '77, and it's been working flawlessly for several years.
