Ricky,
Just curious, what did you pay?
I just bought an Advance Auto 6 volt battery yesterday to replace a 6 year old Tractor Suppy (Exide) battery.
With a 25% off online coupon it cost me $81.66 with 6.35% CT Sales Tax.

I picked up 2 L&G batteries. One for my Economy Power King I recently purchased and one for a 1966 John Deere 110 that I've had for about a year. The 6 volt Rural King (made by Exide) batteries for the Cub normally run $44.95 which is about as inexpensive as they come, take off 30% and you are looking at just over $30.

The batteries I picked up were normally $31.95 and I paid $22.39 with exchange.

Well, the ad confused me and it looks like I missed out. :? I was interested in some L&G batteries but the ad I had listed specific batteries; a 235 CCA (good price of $16.79) but I was wanting more CCA. I guess they were just examples, all must have been 30% off. :(

What CCA did you get? (so I can feel real bad)

Ricky,
Thanks for the info. I wonder why batteries are so much more expensive here in New England, not that everything else isn't either!

The ones I got were 300 CCA @ 0 Degrees & 360 CCA @ 32 Degrees. I wasn't sure if only selected batteries were on sale or not either. The clerk said she though only select ones were on sale but said "let me check" then said "it looks like all batteries are on sale". :{_}:

does rural king ship?? a decent 6 volt for a cub (if you can find one) around here will cost you $100.00 plus, and a decent 12 volt for a Cub (walmart not included) will cost you $65-70 plus.

You'd have to check their website. Another member here has been getting Cub seats for a great price and I assume they had to be ordered.
