David Grapes' Uncle

Postby Barnyard » Sun Dec 08, 2013 1:15 pm

On our way to Jeff Silvey's Winter CubFest I learned that David's uncle passed away a few days back and he has been in Nebraska attending the funeral. David was very close to his uncle and named his Cub Leeroy after him. David traveled back to see him often and I know David will miss him dearly.

Rosie and I will keep David and his family in our thoughts and prayers
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

David, sorry for the loss of your Uncle, I lost my closest Uncle coming up on a year ago, made me think of all the support he had given me and my family over the years. All the best to you and your family.

Thanks Bill and all, your thoughts and prayers are appreciated. I hated to miss Jeff's Cub Fest but I needed to be there and am glad I went.

He had a full life, 95 years old with only minor medical issues to the end. He was that "special" Uncle that I attached to as long as I can remember. I spent many vacations on his farm as a kid, riding on tractors and "helping" with chores and where I got my love for tractors.

Thanks again,
David
