My Cub Cadet 100

Postby pharmerphil3 » Thu Jan 23, 2014 6:46 pm

I found this 100 in early December on Craig's List for $200.00. It has not run in several years, and is in desperate need of some TLC :D ! After I had it home, my son determined it had the wrong wiring harness, and voltage regulator. It needed a new air cleaner and filter, and the gas in the tank smelled almost as bad as it looked. I found on Ebay a used wiring harness, voltage regulator, safety switch, and ignition switch as a package deal for a very reasonable price. After the Holidays we cleaned the gas tank and carburetor, and installed the wiring harness, and the other new parts. With fingers crossed the old tractor started right up, it was a great sound! I plan on improving her appearance during the winter months I will post the photos as progress is made!

She's a beaut just the way she sits. Good deal, and you're doing great getting her back to going.

Awesome find and deal!! A "thank you" to saving it. Now that it's running good, you can dress her up. Post pics along the way; we're interested!

Great find. The creeper is worth $200 by itself. The wheel weights are worth another $125. You did great. My 100 looks worse than yours. I put two tru power ags on the rear and the 3-rib tires on the front, slapped the tiller on the rear and she gets started twice a year to work.
I'm technically misunderstood at times i guess its been this way my whole life so why should it change now.
