Re: Front end loader, on the fast hitch?
I seem to now have a project (or two) on my hands. The loader does demand attention from me, and I'll attempt to get at it when weather allows. I lack some parts and will seek them from local friends who make things, and from anyone with by-pass block for the hydraulics, or connectors. All to be determined in due time. The other project is the rear fast hitch which, more easily done, will be a rear carrier.
So, a huge Thank You to all who offered advice and such. I'm grateful.
Cheers, DickB

If it were for the early version that only fit the standard cub I would grab it, but a good bit of mine is different, even though the tags say it is the same model.Don McCombs wrote:It has a "Buy it Now" of $20, John.

Re: Front end loader, on the fast hitch?
Yes. I ordered it, but it hasn't arrived here. Waiting for it, and there's a chance it'll be here today or tomorrow. My thought was that there might be more info in it than in the Wagner pages that Rudi has on his "manual server." I'm wanting to maximize info before restoring the Wagner WM-1. Another thought, though, was that perhaps John's earlier Wagner model might be in the ordered item in which case I'd sure like to copy it and mail it to him...but got to wait on that. If more's to be shared, let me know?
Years back, when Red Power mag. first came out, I subscribed for that first year (gave them away to a local farmer big on IH's). Found ads to sell brochures, IH documents, and have a few for the Cub. Wondering out loud if there's any place on the Forum to say "Got this, that one," so that others would know about it. Copying a few pages to help another out? Or someone to do what Rudi has done?
To round out my restoration/ordering approach, I now have the engine braces from Bezirk, and an hydraulic bypass block from Pete up in Amherst, NY (via eBay). (Ohhhh. Since many of us are knee or neck deep in snow...Pete mentioned that while Buffalo gets about 8' of snow / year, he gets about 12' ---....)
BTW, anyone made bucket attachments, like manure fork, hay fork...that go on/off and stay in place when in use? How to attach securely?

I found this link that may be helpful for brackets and such for your loader. http://www.farmallcub.com/[ Sorry, direct links to manual section is not allowed. ]/index.p ... /files/OEM under OEM Implement and Attachment Manuals and Brochures. Thanks to Rudi, Allen Look, and Bob in CT.

Re: Front end loader, on the fast hitch?
Best on line site, Ra, besides what Rudi has on his own site (top of Forum page, right side...Rudi's Manual Server). Thanks. Lots of stuff here and there and every where. But nothing to equal the parts catalog that I now have in hand for the WM-1 Wagner loader. Although, must say, there's a 2 page advertising brochure in the link you gave that shows the WM-1 or a similar model -- sure looks nice.

Re: Front end loader, on the fast hitch?
I have the same loader Dick I am going to make some brackets to adapt it to my LoBoy , I have to repack the cylinders as they were leaking when I stopped using it.I took it off because the wheels have to be spread wide to clear the loader brackets on the final drives and the tractor wouldn't fit on my smaller trailer that way, and I was moving it around a lot at the time spraying with it, I gotta get to it though cause it would be handy to have here for turning over the compost piles.T.J.

Re: Front end loader, on the fast hitch?
IF you have the Wagner WM-1 loader connectors to a Farmall Cub with Fast Hitch, I'd sure like to see photos of the connectors, TJ. Dimensions would be great too. It would really be helpful to have connectors, especially the rear ones, in place when lowering the loader on to the Cub.
Are you modifying your connectors to adapt to a LoBoy, and if so, will you be changing back and forth from LoBoy to Farmall Cub?
So you're thinking of turning compost with the loader? That's the plan here.

Re: Front end loader, on the fast hitch?
It's got its limitations as a loader but for lighter loose materials its pretty handy, It definitely makes the tractor less maneuverable.I am gonna put it on the Lo Boy and see how it does at my mother in laws place. The bucket locks in the down position for back dragging or in the scoop position for loading,They were really made for pushing out a barn,I hope to be able to mow with the Danco belly mower with the loader frame attached it would keep me from having to take the Kubota over there to turn the piles.

Dick if you need them I can make you some card board templates of the brackets very simple to make basically 2 pieces of angle iron with holes in them. T.J.

Re: Front end loader, on the fast hitch?
TJ.
I've got to dig my loader's connecting ends out of the snow and the frozen soil into which it sunk over the summer without me ever knowing about it. There's some minor warming up later in the week, and I'll go out with buckets of hot water and a shovel to see what luck I have. I need to see what I've got before I put you to any effort.
On easier steering I've got info from John that I'll share...or John can chime in. Wide Cub Cadet wheels, large tires, thrust bearings....
But for now I'm going to watch snow flakes, collect buckets, find the perfect small shovel, and hope I can interest that loader into revealing a few secrets.
I suspect that what you have is exactly what I need, but let me verify.
Thanks, and I'll be back soon! -- DickB

TJ -- Here are the fasteners that I think you have, and that I think I will need patterns --the two rear and the one front fasteners. Hope to do a bit of digging around my loader today and the few days of 40 deg. "heat" that we're about to get.

Re: Front end loader, on the fast hitch?
TJ -- I can post a similar drawing for the LoBoy / WM-1 loader fasteners -- front and rear -- if you'd like to see them. There are significant differences between the LoBoy and the regular Farmall Cub. Let me know.--DickB
