CUB DISTRIBUTOR INSTALL

Postby tobyfrancis » Thu Feb 06, 2014 4:13 pm

I bought a cub that someone else has been working on and was unable to make run. It has compression (75lbs), getting good fuel, getting spark through the plugs (just not sure if its at correct time). He says he did not pull the distributor, but I think he did. It will not start, we also just installed a new head gasket, condensor, plugs and wires. How do I reinstall the distibutor once, I remove it form the housing, to make sure its timed correctly. Thanks, TF

Welcome to the Forum. Here's an old thread that I think will answer your question: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=65303&p=532369&hilit=distributor+installation#p532369

Welcome to the forum from Arkansas. Bob gave you good information, if you have more problems just holler and someone on here will give you the answer. I am assuming you have the distributor and not the magneto.

Thanks for the info. The distributor was installed incorrectly. We removed/reinstalled and it start with the hand crank on the third time. Thanks again, CR
