A closer look at the appropriate Parts Catalog for your model year reveals that the in-dash fuse was used from tractor serial number 115403 and up. Ricky's link shows diagrams from a 1955 Owner's Manual.

TC-37F, Parts Catalog, shows the fuse holder: "starting and lighting system - 6 volt - Cub tractor w/serial no 210000 and below".
I have an excuse. CRS.

That dash looks to have original yellow paint and no red, plus maybe a key switch hole and fuse hole. I'm guessing it is from a 1970's Cub tractor. There might be other parts from a 1970's Cub on it too so I would investigate some casting codes and the suttle changes on the parts over the years. What does the oil filler tube look like? Long or short?

I've noticed that alot of times when you find some small parts changed, that the PO did it when the engine was replaced by one from a newer machine and he used several parts at that time to fix what all his tractor needed.

Use Jim's link! The Top one is correct for your tractor IF you are using a mag.

This is my 50 with a VR, appears the mag was changed out at some point (there is a tachometer 'hole' in the distributor) so it is not original. Also the LONG EAR dash was pretty common in 1949.

Hi. This is very helpful. Is the wire that goes from the pull starter to the fuse case soldered or how does it go on. Thanks! Ray

The wire from the pull starter switch goes to the ammeter, not the fuse.

I think he is talking about the push-pull ignition switch, Jim.

OK, that hadn't occurred to me. If he is dealing with a mid-'50 to '58 or so (battery ignition & voltage regulator), here is the whole diagram.
