Cub 144 Cultivators

Postby 56cub » Fri Feb 28, 2014 10:29 am

Could anyone here give me an idea of what a set of 144 cultivators is worth. The set is complete with both the front and back sections. The feet are rusty from not being used for a few years but the frames are painted and don't have much rust on them.

Anywhere from 200 to 500 depending on condition and location. Old style or new style? Pics would help. Also make sure it's all there

I know everything is there to mount them on the tractor. The front has three cultivator shank things on each side and one on each side in the back. From what I remember there was some wear in the front frame/ lift area but I don't think it was excessive. I have no good pictures right now.

They are the round shanks with the feet on them.

Boss has a write up on here somewhere of what to check if someone can link it. Lots of places they can be wore out and not tighten up. I'd say $300 would be tops if they are complete. The NOS set that sold on eBay only brought $500.

Maybe some of the PA boys will chime in as to values in your area. I sold a set awhile back for 500. Would I pay 500? No. But I don't need a set. You can offer the guy a fair price or you can place an ad on here for a set. Most likely someone on here can hook you up

Thanks, I will try to get some pictures of them soon. Can any one tell me where to go to find the write up about what to look for in the cultivators? I tried looking and couldn't find it.

Complete set, in good condition, will bring %500, here. Small organic producers, need something small to cultivate with. Cub is ideal!
