Tractor was burned in a barn fire.
Tractor ran great before the fire.
Make me an offer.

Re: Even better one than "ran when parked"
Looks like most of the heat was high up on the tractor, might be pretty reasonable to put back in service. I bought a barn fire cub once that had set for several years, all the major parts ended up being reused by me or others.

I bet you could get that going again. I have a feeling that the hood acted somewhat as a firewall. Wires and whatnot most likely all burned off, but the iron is still probably good.

I never considered actually putting it back together. I just was laughing at the "Tractor ran great before the fire." comment. Kinda like the Titanic was a good ship before the iceburg sort of thing. I guess it's not really THAT bad after all, but it's gonna need some tires .

Now that's what I call saving a Cub!
There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Re: Even better one than "ran when parked"
I would say its fixable with some time...hopefully somebody saves it from the scrap. We are currently putting a 574 diesel back together that's in about the same shape. It had the misfortune of being in the same shed as the previous owners truck that caught fire shortly after being drove into his shed. Believe it or not we hooked a new battery up with jumper cables and it ran just fine.
