2 to 3 point and top link bracket

Hi'ya all, I've been researching a good way to connect 3-point implements to a 2-point fast hitch. I've seen a number of options and I decided to make my own, or rather copy one. I seriously thought about adapting a "quick hitch" but they really don't seem to be that quick unless your implements are a newer style with the right type of top link connector, otherwise you still have to get off the tractor to connect the top link. Plus they are kind of pricey, even at Harbor Freight they're about 90 bucks and you'd have to fab up the 2 point prongs to it. My biggest problem (so far) is designing a top link bracket to bolt onto the tractor (54 Super C), does anyone have a good way to do that? The tractor has the 540 PTO and the flat belt pulley shaft off to the right. I've seen one guys solution and it looked kind of shaky. Here's what I've done so far.

I bought a 32" piece of 1 x 2 1/2 flat bar (cold rolled), same size as the points. Cut the pieces to size on a metal band saw to butt up to the points I already had. Cut about a 3/8" V at all the butted ends (about a 3/4" wide V when butted together and 3/8" deep) and went to town with the ol' Lincoln Idealarc with 5/32 7014 rod, dc at about 125 amps. I took my time and filled it all in one pass per side.

This is at the lowest the hydraulics will go. There is good tire clearance.

Wow!! No kidding! That would be the ticket. What's the story behind that? It looks like you need to remove the right angle belt drive to install it. Hmmm! That gives me an idea. More on that later.

It's a top link bracket for a super c

I understand that it will fit a Super C, but it never came on a Super C.Is it a factory IH part? sure looks to be, it must have come off of some other International tractor
with the same rear housing as a Super C. From the looks of it maybe an industrial tractor?? 240-404-2404????

Just trying to find out what I need to be looking for anyone able to read the part # on it

Here's my follow up. I've seen something like this in an ad for a 3-point kit but I didn't think much about it at the time. When you posted this, it got me to thinking...

It's not the prettiest work but I think it will work just fine. As I mentioned I had to take off the right angle flat belt pulley (not that I need it). The front, back, and top are cut from 1/2" plate. The sides and bottom are 2 x 1 heavy angle. I think it'll handle anything the C will. Thanks for the insight tmays!

There is a three conversion available for the super c. I didn't want one because I wanted the two point. The 2 to 3 point is nice to have if I want to use post hole digger

That's the beauty of what I'm attempting to do. I can still use the fast hitch if I ever find any implements for it other than a draw bar. I also reconnected the leveling link and the front piece that connects to the touch control rockshaft. With those connected I can adjust both the pitch and attitude of whatever implement is hooked up.

It goes just as far to the right which I think will work nicely for a back blade or a box blade. The same for the attitude adjustment for making a cut more or less aggressive, or just leveling up a brush hog or whatever.

I'm pretty sure it's aftermarket. If I'm wrong, I'm sure someone will set us straight. And it came off a Super C. That particular one was on eBay awhile back. Unfortunately it is not on my tractor. Went for more than I was willing to pay at the time. I have a fabbed one on mine similar to the one posted above. If I had known they were so hard to find, I would've bid more

If that piece is aftermarket it must have been from back in the day, and since it's cast someone went to a great deal of trouble. I'm guessing, like rexxon mentioned, it may have come on a later model industrial tractor, the pic shows yellow underneath the red. What we need is some sort of parts manual for whatever that came off of, presuming it's a factory IH part.

I don't think anyone's holding out. Maybe Mr. Becker would have some insight.
