49 cub

Postby kh5348 » Wed Apr 30, 2014 9:14 pm

bought a 49 cub, it was in pieces. putting it back together. started to put fan on and noticed that a small pipe needs to go on before the fan in placed. seems like this pipe fits a part with 2 bolt holes in it. does anyone have a picture of front of motor?

Not sure but it may be the air cleaner "tube" that needs to bolt near the fan. http://www.tm-tractor.com/gai/mvc_6549s.jpg There is also the oil breather tube that connects from the block to the air inlet above the air cleaner, http://www.tm-tractor.com/gai/mvc_6536s.jpg That is all there is other than the top radiator connections.

Welcome to the forum!

If you haven't already done so, please visit the Parts Manual located in the upper menu (blue lettering going across the top of the screen) and click on PDF Manuals or Rudi's Manuals. Either of those will take you to sections where you may download the Parts Manual and Owner's Manuals for your Cub (besides a wealth of other info). Download and read those Manuals (or use as reference) and it will greatly help understanding your Cub.

Congratulations on buying your '49 Cub!! :coffee:

KH, if you can post a picture of the pipe you are talking about it would help. If you have not set up to post pictures yet, you can email it to me at ejpuckett@centurytel.net
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!
