I hope to restore it before too long. I guess getting the year right would be the first step. Next step is getting her running. Third is figuring out paint schemes and decals.

The prior link to TM Tractor I gave has you covered on the third issue- paing schemes and decals:

Farmall Cub Tractors - 1958 s/n 210001 to 1963 s/n 222500
August 1960 - Standard tractor color #201 Harvester Red and #901 Harvester White(8)
August 1960 - Optional tractor Color #483 Federal Yellow(8)
October 1961 - new paint color #2150 Harvester Red(9)

The following items were RED: tractor(7), hood, front wheels and rear wheel discs, wheel weights(3)

The following item was WHITE: grille with 4 horizontal bars(7)

The following item was galvanized or some similar silver-looking finish: rear wheel rim

The plain seat fabric could have been silver canvas with a drain hole grommet. The deluxe seat cushions could have been silver.

Raised aluminum name plate attached to the side of the hood read "McCORMICK FARMALL". "IH" hood emblem was attached to the front of the hood. There were oval aluminum raised "CUB" symbol plates attached to the radiator grille sides.

They are not only a top rate supplier, forum sponsor but a wonderful resource for us!

See ya at the Bash,
David

Thanks for the restoration info. The update is as follows:

After you guys helped me realize I had a 59' Lo Boy, I got the correct coil, and ended up getting the battery tested. The battery was junk, so I picked up a new one and installed the new coil. Besides a rough idle, it's up and staying running. I have the carb out again and am giving it a thorough clean. My inlet filter had a tiny chunk of rubber in it, clogging about 75%. Fuel flow was fine to the carb inlet, so I'm hoping this last cleaning session on the carb will get her running smooth. If not, I guess it's just time for a little more fun. Thanks again guys. And Glen, I tried to reply to your PM, but something isn't working on my end.

Well, carb is back together and in. It's purring like a kitten now. Although, when I lowered the throttle from full to half, it kind of went up and down in RPM for a few seconds before leveling out.

Tim, If you haven't already done so, you may want to synchronize your governor to carb throttle movement. Read the bottom of page 28 and the top of page 29 in the attached link. http://www.cleancomputes.com/Cub/Blue%2 ... System.htm

Alright. I synched the governor. She's right as rain. I mowed the entire lawn today with no issues. Thank you guys so much!
