cub split alignment tool

Hello
I was looking for some hardware on the web and found this tool that made me think that it could be useful putting a cub back together after a tractor split

I've used these quite successfully:

Just a couple of bolts of the correct size, cut off the heads, and grind a point (entirely optional). They work like a champ.

1/2-13 maybe? 5/8-11? I have no idea. I duplicate posted and I can't find the delete tool so... :lost:

To delete a duplicated post you just press the "X" next to the edit button. This can only be done when the duplicate post is the last post. Once there is a reply the duplicate cannot be removed by the poster.

If memory serves me correct, Art Chester (ArtC) gets the credit for making the original suggestion about using these to help put our split Cubs back together.

For those wanting the size of the bolts, here are some details:
7/16 coarse thread bolts

I used ones 3 inches long

Cut off the heads and this is the result. I have used these several times with excellent results.

These are a bit more fancy. The points are not necessary, but a friend gave them to me and they work well also.

One thing you might want to consider would be to make a flat spot on opposite sides close to the end so you can use a wrench to turn them out should one stick some time.
