Question about the AIM feature

Postby jostev » Fri Dec 02, 2005 7:32 pm

I was just wondering why when I click on somebody's AIM button, it says that this page cannot be displayed? Just wondering, I am logged in, but maybe they have to be logged in too?
Thanks, Johnny

Jostev - do you have an AIM account? If not, you will get the error message.

Just did:

aim:goim?screenname=farmall+kid+48&message=Hello+Are+you+there?
is the response

You will have to recheck your account information in your personal settings in your profile.

I used to get that problem. No longer use AIM. I funnel everything into my MSN account or hopefully everyone I chat with, has MSN and an ID... simplify if much better.

Besides, AIM is a unit of AOL and I will not go there -- ever.. I won't even use Netscape anymore....

I just use it because that's what my brother had at college, so that's what he set me up with.

I don't quite understand about what you said Rudi, was that my away message? right now I'm on, and the message through about 9 should say
right here, keep tryin to git me attention!
Thanks for the help, maybe i will try to get some of the other chat things
