today was a rainy day, but we managed to get a few pictures.
My dad and I have painted all of the rear half of the tractor, everything except the fenders and the rear apron... we where runing low on the yellow paint, so we also painted the rear rims with the white. we painted the shifter rod and hydrolic adjustment rod silver, and put the knobs back on.
We changed the hydrolic filter, got a "T" handle for the throttle lever, repainted and installed the mower parts, all except for the deck, witch still needs cleaned and painted.
In unrelated news, i got a new camrea for christmas, a Kodak Z700. great camrea for the price, eats batteries faster than a Hummer eats gas though...
Thanks,
Ralph II

Looking good RalphII, but for the benefit of us country folk that can only get dialup, just a couple pictures on the post and a link to the rest would be appreicated. takes me forever to see it, and have to wait for them again when I go back to read someones followup to it.
Regarding the camera batteries, if it takes standard batteries such as AA, get a couple sets of the NiMH rechargeables and a charger. They deliver a lot more current than alkaline and can be charged over and over, and over......

i have some, and i carry 2 charged+2 charged in the camrea, but for some reason, they only want to get up to a half charge. when i got them, my mom left them in the charger charging for 14 hours, think that might have something to do with it? i've also seen some battery packs, looks like 2 AA's(what my camrea uses) but they are in a single block. know anything about them?

GOOD job
thanks, but we still have some fiberglass body repair to do on the dash and hood, so we aren't quite finished yet.

Ralph II:
Awesome paint job
You are a very fortunate young man. Your Dad is talented and knowledgeable and you will learn a lot from him. Relish the time you both have together, and I can promise you, you will remember the time and this project for the rest of your life.
Keep us posted on how you both progress with the 185
Merry Christmas to you and your family!

Camo, thanks for changing the picture, it makes it a lot easier for us old geezers that still can't get broadband.
regarding your battereies, I don't know about the newer half hour recharge time ones, but the older ones reccomended charging overnight before the first use, so i doubt that is your problem with not getting a full charge. On both my hcargers the batterys can be left in continoulsy with no problems. 2 things come to mind, the first being your charger is not working properly, and the second is that the battery meter in your camera is in error, or is calibrated for alkaline batterys.

no problem, regaurding the batteries, it is calibrated for lithium batteries, as i just found out. it says it will work with the others, but battery life "may be un-acceptable", quoteing the book.
