hand crank clips

I would like to make some hand crank clips this afternoon. Does anyone have a good idea of how to make the clips as well as the type of steel to use? Any advice/tips will help.

I don't have any ideas, but http://www.jptractorsalvage.com and http://www.tmtractor.com both have them probalby chaper than you can make them.
