PIG OILER? whats that

what is a pig oiler? anyone?

Well we call them hog oilers but we put used motor oil in the bottom and the hogs rub on the wheels and as the wheels rotate they pick up the oil and distribute the oil onto the hogs and it is supposed too help keep lice and other parasites off

Doesn't this make them hard to catch ? We greased up one at Haloween time when I was a kid and let it go in the local hotel bar. We were too young to go in and see the action but they still talk about it to this day. lol

When I was about 12 years old, I spent a summer with my Uncle in Plattsburgh, MO. He was the local Veternarian, and I spent a LOT of days catching pigs so he could vacinate and castrate them . After a day of that, and pullin' calves from cows...we'd go home to a nice BIG bowl of "Rocky Mountain Oysters" that my Aunt had fixed up . Well, I never became a veternarian, but I'll never forget that Summer !

First time I've seen one but it makes sense, sort of like what a cow rub is used for. Hey Country, How'd you like them mountain oysters? Did ya ever try em with possuum sauce on the side?
