Maybe I am just looking in the wrong place, but does anybody have a link or a complete electrical schematic for the charging system a 47 cub.
I have serial # 1601 6volt positive ground.
The wiring has been severely hacked over the years and I want to get it back to original. I may as well figure out and fix all the wiring....
Thanks!
Jim

Jim, now that I am back at my computer (I still have paint on my hands) I think I found the diagram you need.

There are two ways to get enough Cubs. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.

Hi,
Below is the 1947 Cub owner's manual, the experts on here say people with a 1947 Cub should read it, it has much info about operation, maintenance, and lubrication. There is a table of contents on page 1.
There is a wiring pic in it under the hood on page 33, and wiring info behind the dash on page 34.

There is no Touch Control info in the 1947 owner's manual, it is in the newer manuals.
Below is the 1950 owner's manual, the Touch Control info is on pages 60, 61, and 62.

Re: wiring schematics
Bill, -That 2nd diagram you had with the Magneto helps, and I was also able to find one on the 4 position light switch in another post. Thanks!
Glen, -Thanks to you as well, unfortunately I don't see a wiring pic in the manual you posted the link to, nor in what appears to be the identical manual I have at home... probably just me... I have certainly overlooked things before.

Re: wiring schematics
Hi,
The 1950 Cub owner's manual does have a drawing of the electrical system, on page 59. Here it is below.
http://farmallcub.com/rudi_cub/www.clea ... e%2059.jpg
It might have been in the 1947 manual also, but there is no page 59 in the one I posted above, it has a mistake in the pages.
If you have a paper manual, it is probably in it.
Page 34 only has a pic of the wiring behind the dash. Pages 33 and 34 have pics of what it originally looked like, is why I posted that info.
The 1947 Cub owner's manual at Quick Links, at the top left of the page, has the wiring drawing on page 59.
