IH 350 parts tractor

Postby cjet69 » Sun Sep 02, 2018 12:03 pm

Picked up this IH 350 utility a week ago for Free. It belonged to my dad and his brother when they had a farm partnership. It went to the other side of the family when things were divided up and has been sitting for decades. The sheet metal and carb were stolen off of it many years ago. I asked my cousin what he was going to do with it and he said get it outta here, so I did.

I pulled it home and opened it up. The engine was full of water and it froze and broke one cylinder wall. I decided to pull the pan so when I started to drain the oil I found mostly antifreeze in the crankcase. Got the pan off and it looks better than I was expecting. This is where the oil pump came from that I asked about in another thread. I guess I will see how much can be salvaged.

Already two steps ahead in resurrecting it. Free, and it was Dad's! The rest is just a little time and money.

The thought had crossed my mind, but we already have over 30 antique tractors and at some point we need to draw the line.

Does that 350 utility have the higher speed 4th gear like the Super H had?
If you are not part of the solution,
you are part of the problem!!!

#1 How many of those were Dad's?

My opinion is the line is already on the other side of this one or you could of left it set. I figured the main reason you wanted it was it was Dad's. Maybe I read something into it being Dad's that's not there. I just see to many people looking hard for Dad's or Grandpa's tractor that will never find them, and you have yours for free.

#3 What's one more when you don't even know how many you have? :D

Pulled the front end and engine off the 350. I'm going to use some engine parts to get the Farmall H that I just bought running. I guess this means that the 350 will get parted out unless I can find another one that needs some parts.
